On Tuesday, November 10th we saw Landon's first tooth starting to break the surface. He just turned 7 months old a few days ago. The tooth is on the bottom right (if you are looking at him). He hasn't seemed any fussier than normal. Gratefully no fever or runny nose either. When you put your finger over it you can barely feel it. I'm still nursing so this might get interesting...
UPDATE:
So I think I jinxed myself because after I posted this, later on that night poor Landon had a hard time. He cried pretty hard and seemed pretty miserable. We read online about all the teething tricks. Most said to put something cold on the gums (ie. cold bagel, put teething toys, damp wash cloth, etc in refridgerator). Well, those didn't work. Landon hated the cold on his mouth. We tried all the recommendations but they didn't really work. Landon was too little for some of the recommendations. He didn't get the concept of holding something up to his mouth. Luckily he still slept through the night. In the morning I went and got the instant teething gel and we did give him a wooden spoon. He would put it in his mouth but he wouldn't live it there long enough to really knaw on it. Plus, I had to watch him closely so he wouldn't put the handle part down the back of his throat.
As for nursing...ouch. He's already bit me a few times and I have to put my finger on his check and pull him off. If this keeps up, my nursing days will be over. :)
