This lazy river is relaxing

For Papa John's 60th birthday we went away on a surprise weekend getaway. We were told it should be no more than 2 hours driving so we figured anywhere from Santa Barbara, out to the dessert, San Diego and/or anywhere in between. We left late after Kajsa's home football game on October 9th. We arrived at a Wyndam Resort in Indio. Indio you may ask (as we did too) but John's request was to just be with his family by the pool, relaxing, not going in and out of cars driving to different places, etc. So, we made the Wyndam our 3-bedroom home for the next few days. We played Apples to Apples, barbequed, played in the pools (I say pools because they had several including kiddie pools and a lazy river), and just kicked back enjoying our time as a family. The only bummer is Landon came down with a little cold after that weekend---along with the rest of the Berg family. Everyone was sick for awhile following our mini trip.
