Landon did not being a bug. Only fair since he's normally my monkey. On Sunday, October 25th we decided to go to San Diego for a little getaway and enjoy the Zoo and Sea World. With Sonje in the military, his ticket to the Zoo was free, mine was discounted and getting into Sea World was free for all of us. We found an amazing deal on our hotel room from Travelodge- only $37 a night. I kid you not. I think they actually lost money on us because it also included a full breakfast AND a little snack basket in our room. Have you ever heard of such a thing. We brought food down from home and made our own lunches to take into both parks. We had the pleasure of meeting up with our dear friends Ian and Stephanie who recently got assigned to a ship in San Diego and moved from Virginia so it was their first time meeting Landon. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at their home on Tuesday. Wednesday night we had pizza at the Walker home- more friends of ours from the military. Matt Walker used to work with Sonje at the El Segundo base but has been living in San Diego for several years now. Him and his wife just had their first baby, Sadie, just 2 months after Landon was born so it was fun for both families to meet each other's new arrivals. Who would have ever imagined that such a last minute decision would be so "cheap" and yet so incredibly amazing!
